Attention Sandwich, Cape Cod Animal Lovers

A Prelude to a Furry Affair will be held at the Gallery Gourmet in East Sandwich, Cape Cod, MA on Saturday, May 1st from 6 PM until 7:30 PM. Join other animal lovers and raise a glass in a toast to the approaching summer season and the MSPCA Guardian Angel Fund. The event is, as it says, a prelude to the annual Furry Affair which will be held at the beautiful Wianno Club in Osterville on May 22nd. The Furry Affair is a dinner with both silent and live auctions. Proceeds from these events benefit the Guardian Angel Fund for homeless, sick, and injured animals.

A Prelude to a Furry Affair will feature light hors d'oeuvres and refreshments and a preview of the items that will be available for auction at the Furry Affair event in Osterville later in the month. After the May 1st event, patrons are invited to bring their ticket stub and dine at the Belfry Inne & Bistro or the Painted Lady restaurants, where $5 of every $20 spent will go to the MSPCA. Both the unique and romantic Belfry Bistro and the whimsical and charming Painted Lady showcase the culinary talents of Executive Chef Daniel Kenney. The menus feature seasonal, fresh, local ingredients beautifully prepared and presented. An exceptional wine list, from which to select a wine to compliment your meal, is available at both restaurants.

Sadly, with the down-turn in the economy, many folks cannot afford to care for their animals and are forced to take them to their local shelter. When added to the burgeoning population of abandoned and abused animals, the already limited resources of local animal shelters are in serious need or our help. You can do so by attending this event or by making a much needed and appreciated contribution to the MSPCA.

Tickets for A Prelude to a Furry Affair are $15 per person. You can purchase tickets online from the MSPCA or by calling the Gallery Gourmet at 508-888-3633. Join other animal lovers in helping to relieve the pain and suffering of creatures that only want to love and be loved.
