Cape Cod celebrates Earth Day - Sandwich Celebration

Cape Cod is a nature lovers' paradise, wheather you like to hike, bike, kayak, bird watch, or just enjoy strolling through quaint villages and along back roads. Earth Day events are taking place throughout Cape Cod this week. What better place is there to celebrate than in Sandwich at Heritage Museums & Gardens. On Saturday, April 24th from 10 am to 5 pm, environmentally-themed activities will honor Earth Day and Arbor Day. Visitors will get a sneak peek at the newest feature, Hidden Hollow, a nature discovery center. Local arborists will discuss tree care. And, there is a tour of Heritage's impressive tree collection. All of these activities are free with museum admission and each family will leave with a tree seedling of their very own to plant.

However you choose to celebrate, remember that making a conscious effort to reduce your environmental footprint by going organic is a great way for each individual to help create a healthier planet. For some great tips and organic recipes check out Organic on Cape Cod.
